Fitness Consulting/Personal Training

crissy fieldA movement/exercise practice is essential to promote and maintain good health and fitness.  I have seen this first hand through my own life experience and as a result of having worked with thousands  of massage clients since 1989.  Clients who are physically active are typically much healthier than those who are sedentary.  This is a fact!  Our bodies are a symphony of harmonious movement(breath, blood, lymph, energy, etc.) and exercise/movement are essential to nourish and maintain this harmony.

With this in mind, I bring a lifetime of enthusiasm and experience in athletics, physical training, and body-mind disciplines, to help you develop a movement/exercise program that is safe, effective and fun.  We should enjoy moving our bodies, and even though it is hard work at times, ultimately it should be enjoyable.  If we enjoy what we are doing and see improvement, we are more likely to continue.  This continuity and frequency of practice is extremely important.  Occasional exercise never produces optimal results and usually leaves one quite sore and disinclined to continue.  It is the continuity of intelligent practice that leads to success!

To this end, I will skillfully apply whatever tools seem most appropriate to help you develop and establish an intelligent, sustainable exercise program.  As a Certified Kettlebell Trainer through the IKFF (International Kettlebell and Fitness Federation),  USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach and Level 1 Precision Nutrition Coach, I offer safe, effective kettlebell and weightlifting instruction, along with Indian Club/Clubbell training, bodyweight exercise training, and flexibility/mobility work.  I also draw heavily on many years of Iyengar Yoga and Martial Arts (Aikido, Shintaido) experience.
